Christine Widstrand

I am passionate about translating academic research and knowledge into benefiting society by creating and building successful growth companies. As CEO at LU Holding AB, I lead a highly competent and committed team that helps researchers and students in the best possible way to start and build the companies of the future.

My many years of experience as a certified board member and chairman come in handy when I sit on the boards of various Life Science companies in LU Holding's portfolio. I also help these companies with business development, finding capital for continued development, customer contacts, complementing the team and board with industry expertise and more. I am also, together with our lawyer, helpful when it comes to looking at different types of agreements.

With a background as CEO and founder of an academic biotech company, where I worked in various leading positions between the years 2000-2009, I have broad experience in management work, seeking venture capital, business development, international sales, introduction of quality management systems and more. Basically, I have a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from LTH and have a PhD in Analytical Chemistry at Lund University, as well as being a post-doc at a foreign university.
